I’m pretty upset. First fairies and now damn dragons. I miss the days when they hunted spirits, demons all that kind of stuff. It was just so much better but now it seems they’re running out of good ideas. It’s going downhill :’[

It’s called an opinion, oppressive twat. Many of us think that this show has gone downhill – doesn’t stop us wanting to watch it very much.
The show has gone downhill to be fair, want happend to the good old days when u were @ the edge of ur seats for 3 episodes in a row! But being the fans I am even if a seventh season came out and all they did was kill unicorns i would still watch it everyweek!

This is the last season they are doing and its a wrap up of sam and deans story so we can have the “Happy” ending we all wanted and to answer our questions. They are just doing things never done before and I am sorry the fairies one cracked me up so bad my side hurt. The show is not going down hill they are just doing things that some people might like to see because hey they had the norse gods and god of other types in the show monsters from all orgins why not a dragon? all myth and lore stems from some form of truth just maybe a dragon was just a very big lizzard. Anyways enjoy the show while it lasts because the word is they are ending the show and its not being “cancled” they are at the end of the script. I dont know what the hell I will watch the last episode but I know I will surely miss it.

Personally, I’d like it a LOT more if they DID NOT put up information on episodes we won’t see for a week – or sometimes two. It seems teasing, and it’s freaking irritating.

Damn straight! Personally I am enjoying a break from all the angel/demon stuff. They have done everything else so why not branch out a little?

While I wouldn’t say dragon’s are quite as Supernatural as say, demons, I would say that after 5 seasons and over 100 episodes of demons, it’s refreshing to see a few different beasties.

Whoever or whatever the big bad ends up being this season I’m going to take a shot at the dark here and guess that Sam’s walled up memory holds the key to defeating it, or something like that.

Season Three “A Very Supernatural Christmas”.
Still they did not put Santa in the episode… at least not the current(together with the evil) definition of Santa… they used some Druid deities…
And as a guy said above, Dragons are supernatural, since we havent heard of any magical, flying animal casting spells and letting fire through his mounth lately… and taking in cosideration in japanese culture there is a Dragon God, it does fit to the context of the season, and too the Series.

This episode is being aired January 28th. A long time to wait.
Comparing this season with the previous Supernatural seasons, I prefer those seasons before they start hunting for demons and that when I was addicted to Supernatural. But now they go for the first being of ever creature/monster and soon they will run out of ideal for future episode. Nevertheless, this is still my number one must watch show and I still support Supernatural.

Hell I don’t know if dragons or pixie dust spraying fairies means this show is going down hill or anything but I do know i love this show and since you all are here also I figure you all do also , so why don’t we all cut the site and the show some slack and see what happens oh yea I’m sure most of you figured it out that Episode 12 – Like a Virgin wont be out till Jan 28 of 2011 so till then relax and catch up on the older shows we all love and be happy.

I would like to say that I love this show and have for a very long time. People keep saying that they are running out of creatures to talk about, yes they have covered a lot but pick up any book about Roman or Greek mythology and you will see there are tons of mythical or legendary creatures that have not yet been even mentioned in this show. AND think about all the creatures they have covered each of which has to have an Alpha, I think that they could pull another few seasons out of just covering the Alphas, it would probably suck but they are nowhere near out of ideas. Second, the show being called Supernatural does not dictate what the show has to be about, a title is a title not the whole show and dragons and fairies, although they are not angels and demons appeared in folk lore way before angels and demons were even thought of. Jared and Jensen said in an interview about season 6 that this season was supposed to be about the origin of monsters; how much more original is the first ever creatures to be thought of? And really guys you are going to yell at each other about grammar do not be so capricious and just let people express their own thoughts; everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I cannot wait for #12 to come out I was so disappointed when I saw it was not going to be out for another month. I love the show and hope we see many more seasons (that are good)!!!

January 28th? I know the actors and writers need some R&R once and a while and are probably takeing a Christmas/Newyears break but come on. January 28th WTF!
Uh, the breaks has nothing to do with the actors or writers, all the episodes are long since made. It’s purely down to network scheduling, they are the ones who give us such lovely things as a break for over a month just because it’s christmas, or random 2 week breaks for seemingly no reason. It happens to many shows, whilst it is highly annoying, I suppose it’s a bit better than just airing the whole series in one day and then leaving us 364 more days of boredom.

I find it strange that you think its going downhill, with season 5 beeing the final season and all.
They also stated in the “news” if i may call it that, when they signed on for season 6 the story was to evolve alot more around the brothers. Getting sam out of hell etc..
So, so far in my opinion the show is going upwards. Thats just my personal opinion.

Sam and Dean dealt with mythology. There’s only so much mythology you can cover before you get to dragons.
You’re used to their hunting demons. That is what they’re known for, but that plot line has been done to death and it’s out the door, so the writers think of more content, and it can’t all walk and talk like a human being.
This does feel a bit like a “jumping the shark” moment. Smallville had many of these, but it let the weak points define its plot. Amazingly, even though it completely transformed (for the worst in my opinion), it still had fans that watched it devotedly for ten seasons.
So, give it a break. They’re probably using this as filler. They just got Sam’s soul back. They need a halt from the action, so that you, the audience, don’t feel overwhelmed, and so that they can sell the real meat of the story for a good price rather than always handing it to you on a silver platter.

i hope that the second part of season 6 will be like the 10 and 11 episodes…because i didn’t really like the begining of the season, but i’m a fan of spn, i hope that will better now

y would you not air the last episode of the season about 6 weeks after the rest?? i’ve already forgotten what happened, must admit i used to love supernatural but this season has gone down hill!!
Dragons and Faeries are actually far more common myths than anything that has been on the show before. Also they are two of the only mythical beings to show up in every culture.
I personally am delighted they are doing the kings of the mythical world in dragons.
