Supernatural star Jared Padalecki is going to be away from the show in March, when his wife, Genevieve is set to give birth to their first baby.
With him being gone for a few days, fans of the show are wondering if he will be missing some of the episodes, especially since mid-March is when productions usually shoot their finales.
But there’s no need to worry about Jared missing any of these shoots. The actor has confirmed that the show has given him three days off, at which time, they are hoping that the baby will be born. He can go back to work the following week.
He says, “The writers and Sera [Gamble] and the bunch have expressed a lot of interest in helping me out as much as they can. Unfortunately, it’s the end of the season so I can’t just vanish or turn into a goat or something.”
He says he is grateful for his Supernatural family and everyone has been supportive of his growing family. “They certainly understand and want me to see my child as much as possible. I think they’ve been kind enough to really kind of jump through some hoops and shoot a bunch of stuff I’m not involved in back to back, even if it’s teasers from episode 19, 21, 22… [that way] they can get everything taken care of, stuff that doesn’t involve Sam and Dean.”
